LEARNING BEGINS AT HOME!

With the permission of the District Secretary, Rovers of Sanmathi Rover Crew along with Rangers of Government First Grade College, Malleshwaram had conducted a cleanliness drive at Bangalore North District Headquarters and neighboring areas on Thursday, 11th June, 2015.

Four Rovers and Seven Rangers had participated in the cleanliness drive and awareness activity which included District Headquarters premises, outside park and neighboring areas under the supervision of Rover Scout Leader Satyajit Chatterjee and Ranger Leader Shubha. The rovers and rangers had also planted saplings within and outside the district headquarters premises.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2015

Karnataka Pollution Control Board conducted World Environment Day - 2015 on 5th and 6th June 2015 at Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, Bangalore under the title as "PARISARA HABBA" involving BBMP, BDA, KREDL, BWSSB, BHARAT SCOUTS AND GUIDES, LDA CORPORATES, INDUSTRIES, ACTIVE NGO'S SCHOOLS / COLLEGES,PEOPLE WHO MATTER in conserving Environment and Ecology to make this Day meaningful and purposeful.

Dignitaries on dais: Honorable Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri Siddharamiah and Former Railway Minister, Shri Sadananda Gowda.

Around 1000 Scouts, Guides, Rovers and Rangers participated in the said event. Rovers and Senior Scouts were trained on Waste Management by SWMRT and rendered their service at Dining area managing the waste, viz. organic; dry; recyclable waste under the supervision of Satyajit Chatterjee, Rover Scout Leader, Sanmathi Scout Group, Bangalore North District.

NEPAL EARTHQUAKE RELIEF FUND COLLECTION DRIVE

Bangalore North District, Chamundi Scout Group and Guild and State HQ, Karnataka lead by Sri. P.G.R. Sindhia, State Chief Commissioner organized a Fund Collection Drive at Malleshwarm where the Scouts and Guides of Bangalore North District were able to collect a huge Sum of Rs. 63,500/- . This was handed over to Mr. Prabhudeva . J. Chigateri the State Treasurer. On this occasion the State HQ donated a Sum of Rs. 5,00,000/- under the August Presence of H.H. Sri Yadhugiri Yathiraja Narayana Ramanuja Jeeyar ( Thiru Swamy ) of Yathiraja Mutt, Melukote.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP AT APS POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE, SOMANAHALLI

"Independence Day"

Sanmathi Rover Crew and Chamundi Scout Troop had jointly hosted the National Flag at Chamundi Scout Hut on 15th of August morning. Post flag hosting, a crew meeting was held, in which the further activities of the crew was discussed pertaining to the curriculum set by the National Headquarters. Sanmathi Rover Crew is looking forward to organize a blood donation camp and a also over night hike for the Rovers next month . It will be finalized in the next meeting as to when to conduct the aforementioned activities. However, the tentative date of overnight hike is 3rd Weekend of September, 2013. So dear Rovers block your date for the amazing forthcoming events!!

Rovers, who are interested and are yet to show up. Kindly contact the crew members at the earliest.

The next crew meeting will be held on 24th of August,2013 at 15:00 hours at Chamundi Scout Hut.

1st Official Meeting of Sanmathi Rover Crew

The first official meeting of Sanmathi Rover Crew was held at Chamundi Scout Hut, Malleshwaram. Apart from RSL and ARSL, 5 Rovers (Akhilesh H.N, John Linson P.L, Monu K.S, Maruthi Prasad N.T and Manjunath. A) and 2 Rover Aspirant (Bhaskar S and Varun N.A) were present in the meeting. The objectives of the crew was discussed in the meeting. And also, it has been decided that Crew Meeting will be held on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month at Chamundi Scout Hut, Malleshwaram. Meeting time will be intimated to every one. Some more Rovers are yet to join.

The next meeting will be on 15th of August, 2013 at 07:00 hours in Chamundi Scout Hut for Independence Day Celebration.
